What We Offer at Peace Lutheran Church
-
Pastoral Support
Pastor Matt invites you to receive the pastoral care or counselling support you need in order to maintain optimal mental wellness and health. Whether it is an at home visit, a formal meeting or a request for anonymous prayer, he welcomes you to reach out. His warm, compassionate and non-judgemental personality makes visiting with him a genuine and meaningful experience.

-
Holy Communion
We offer Holy Communion every second Sunday of the month, and invite all of God’s people to come forward, regardless of faith.
Christ comes to us in, with and under the bread and wine to nourish the faith of Christians and the church. We share in a sacred meal that spans all time and space. The uncontainable presence, grace, love, forgiveness and mercy of Christ come to us in simple bread and wine.
-
Baptism
Whether an infant or an adult, we offer Holy Baptism to all believers.
Through Baptism, God cleanses us from all of our sins, snatches us from the power of sin, and gives us everlasting life. It is all God’s doing as He gives us His blessing. It is His promise. In Baptism, our Triune God imparts to each of us personally the gifts the Lord Jesus Christ won for the world through His life, suffering, death, and resurrection.
-
Confirmation
Youth in Grades 7-9 have the opportunity to participate in weekly confirmation classes taught by Pastor Matt.
In confirmation, God's promise to the individual made at baptism is confirmed: God confirms his promise to be with the baptised always and he or she receives the blessing and a special greeting from the church. This is a very special time for our youth!
-
Nursery
We have an unstaffed nursery that parents with little ones are always welcome to utilize during our services. Whether it is a fidgety or hungry baby or a toddler that wants to play, we have the space for you to relax in. Our nursery room has a bathroom, comfy chairs and lots of toys. It also has windows so you can still observe and hear the service if you’d like.
-
Children's Time
We have an engaging Children’s Time during our service that welcomes all littles to come forward for storytime and prayer. We often take a peek inside the “mystery box” and see what message can be shared in relation to the Gospel. And then our good old buddy, Jammer the Bear, makes his appearance and shares his love with our little friends.
-
Youth Group
We have a wonderful youth group with participants being 12 years old and up. This tween-teen group allows for a time of Christian fellowship and for fun together! Pizza suppers, movie events, weekend retreats and games nights, all help to make our youth events popular and exciting. We welcome youth from all denominations to join our events! Bring a friend and see what it’s all about.
-
Witness Committee
Supporting organizations throughout our community, who serve citizens in and around the Leduc area, is very important to our members. Local initiatives such as collecting items for the Leduc HUB, Riseup Society or supporting families in need, has been a priority. On a Global level, we support Operation Christmas Child and Canadian Lutheran World Relief.
-
Bible & Book Study Groups
Peace offers various bible study groups for members of all ages. Our Women at Peace meets in the morning, while our Big Book Study meets in the evenings for reflection and sharing. Book studies happen multiple times throughout the year and are centered on a theme. Check our calendar often to see what is being offered next.
-
Music Team
If you love to sing, then our Music Team might be for you. With both contemporary and tradition songs being shared, our Music Team leads our congregation through some amazing hymns. It doesn’t matter what your level or ability is, we just want to hear your voice and welcome you to join the Team at the microphone stand or from the pew!
