To welcome, affirm and nurture all people in the Spirit of Christ The Rental/Facility Guideline is intended for all groups which means and shall include: - Rental Groups - Church Committees/Groups (e.g. Youth, Sunday School, Bible Study, Song team(s), Ladies Groups, etc.) - One-Time Users of the facility - Anyone (individuals) using the facility - Includes designated assigned space including washrooms, nursery, and/or kitchen access. - Equipment shall mean tables, chairs, kitchenware, musical equipment, etc. Facility and equipment usage is at your own risk. No equipment shall be rented or loaned from the church for outside functions for personal use. Groups with prior permission for on-site storage shall keep their supplies stored in rubber-maid containers in their assigned storage area or cupboard. Peace Lutheran Church shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss to any properties/supplies stored on the premises. Fees are applicable whether you are a member or non-member of Peace Lutheran Church using the church facility for a personal or special event. (Shower & Wedding Receptions are not Church events. Fees will NOT be charged for Church related activities, Synodical or ELCIC events. Rental requests must be in writing and submitted to the Administration Committee and/or Council for approval. Forms are available in the church office. Reasonable written notice is required should it become necessary to terminate or suspend rental usage by either party. Rental Groups: An extra rental charge will apply for functions over and above regular meeting(s). An extra custodial fee of $25.00/hour is applicable if housekeeping responsibilities are not fulfilled (see Housekeeping Check List). The church secretary maintains a key list (keys are numbered). There’s limited number of keys available. Whoever is assigned a key is ultimately responsible for that key and its return upon the completion of the group’s term or ministry. If the key holder changes please notify the church secretary. Key to be returned upon request. (Note: A $50.00 fee will be charged to replace your lost key) The church secretary maintains a calendar of all events or meetings. All groups MUST verbally consult with the church secretary for any change from their regular scheduled gathering or to book the facility for an event or meeting. Please contact the church secretary for special requests. (Note: Due to high ceiling & fans in fellowship hall & nave, no balloons are allowed) Alcohol is not permitted on the premises. Smoking. “Butt Out” containers have been mounted by the northeast and southeast entrances for cigarette disposal. Please do not throw your butts on the grounds. (When smoking outside please move away from the entrances so the smoke does not filter back into the building.) The Custodian is part-time only and not on call. You are responsible to clean up after yourself. Any unusual activity, please do not hesitate to contact the police (980-7267). All groups are subject to adhere to the HOUSEKEEPING CHECK LIST (available under Rates and Rental Agreement Website Page and via request from Church office). By signing this form and submitting you are legally agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions laid out by Peace Lutheran Church.
